Teaching Assistant - Big Nursery

Location: Wadebridge Primary Academy

Wadebridge Primary Academy are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to work in our Big Nursery on a fixed term contract for a year.

With an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) Early Years Care and Education or relevant subject as listed in DfE Early Years Qualification Check.
With a sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and how this looks in practice.

Teaching Assistant

Location: Looe Primary Academy

Looe Primary Academy is looking for an experienced teaching assistant with experience in in Key Stage 1. The post is offered as fixed term position to the end of this academic year in the first instance. The post could include working across the Key Stage 1 age range, including our very successful nursery provision on occasion.

We are looking for a colleague who can bring enthusiasm, energy and a professional approach to all that they do and who are willing to engage in all aspects of school life. You will also have a warm, smiley, nurturing approach that children will enjoy and which will enable them to feel special in your care. Ideally, the successful candidate will also have experience of working with children who may need behaviour support and or social, emotional and mental health need, or willingness to train in this area, although this is not essential. The post also includes lunchtime supervision each day.

In return, Looe Primary offers a friendly, experienced and supportive team, who work well together and put the education and welfare of the pupils at the heart of all we do. You can expect to receive high quality support and training in a school that has a good reputation in the community and in a setting that provides wonderful sea views in a great community. Our work to engage with the community is a high priority as we continue to improve our already successful school. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to this work.

Working weeks per year: 38
Hours per week: 28hrs 10 Minutes (TA) and 3hrs 20mins (Lunchtime Supervisor)
Rate of pay (per hour): 12.02 (TA) and 12.00 (Lunchtime Supervisor)

After School Club Assistants

Location: Wadebridge Primary Academy

Closing Date: 18/09/2024

We are looking to appoint Afterschool Club Assistants on a 12 month fixed term contract to join our Bridge Kids Wrap Around Care team. Although no two days will be the same, your responsibilities will include:
Providing a balanced, stimulating, secure and safe play programme and creative activities suited to the age ranges, learning needs and abilities of the children using the service and engaging those children in the planned activities.
Setting up play equipment, ensuring that it is in good and usable condition.
Preparing rooms and resources. Attending to daily duties and ensuring that play equipment and materials are cleared away and safely stored at the end of each session.
Preparing food as required and assisting children with the selection and distribution of refreshments. Ensure food, hygiene and allergy procedures are followed.
Escorting children to and from the school/agreed point/classrooms and ensuring safe delivery to the parents/named carers.
Administer First Aid when required and be aware of the medical conditions of children in attendance. Record all instances, treatment and medication use on the appropriate system.
We have positions available to fulfil the following combination of days/hours:
Monday 15:00-16:45 (1.75hrs)
Tuesday 15:00-16:45 (1.75hrs) and 15:00-18:00 (3hrs)
Wednesday 15:00-18:00 (3hrs) x2 positions
Thursday 15:00-16:45 (1.75hrs) and 15:00-18:00 (3hrs)
Friday 15:00-16:45 (1.75hrs) x2 positions and 15:00-18:00 (3hrs)

Working Weeks: 38 per year
Paid Weeks: 43.699 per year
Rate of Pay: 12 per hour
